So, this is my first goal setting post for the Rich Rewards Life blog. The first part of the post will be goals that get me out of trouble. They’re stepping stone goals along the way to much bigger goals. I’ll leave out the really BIG goals like “ruler of the world” as they may need another lifetime to achieve.
Survival Goals or Getting Out of Shit
You may or may not know by now, but I’m really in the shit at the moment. My previous business lost 90% plus of my income, I was forced to move out of my house as I couldn’t pay my mortgage, I sold all of my stocks and assets, I have credit card debt, and I was forced to move back in with my mother at age 40! To top it all off I’m also single and overweight. You could say I’m a real catch.. someone to be envied.. or not 😉
But this is good. It’s rock bottom. It’s where I needed to be to finally say enough is enough! It forced me to re-evaluate everything about my life, to look at what was working and what wasn’t working. Obviously most things in my life weren’t working as I’m a middle aged failure on almost all fronts, but I believe I do have a few redeeming qualities that will lift me out of this mess.
Some of the things that weren’t working. Financially my biggest problem has been the programming of the system. I didn’t love money, I felt guilt when I had more than enough, and I was suspicious of those who had plenty of money. This thinking, which most of us have, is poison. Money is choices, it’ll make you more of what you are inside. If you’re a good person you’ll do more good with it, if you’re a bad person it’ll make you do more bad with it, but it has NOTHING to do with the money itself. Money is neutral. So for the past few weeks I have been doing a lot of work on reprogramming myself, conditioning myself to accept great wealth, to appreciate money, to LOVE money and all of the wonderful things that can be achieved with money. Thinking wise, media. I used to spend hours each day keeping up with alternative news sources, geopolitical happenings, connecting dots, writing letters, and asking questions of our rulers. It was all a waste of time and just brought me down. Health wise, I eat too much sugar, too much fast food, and am not active enough.
Some of the things that were working. I have a love of learning. I’m always reading, listening to people, and asking questions. I’m creative. I’m open minded and will try new things. I believe in life, in energy, and I know that humanity can be so much more than it currently is.
Goals to Keep my Head above Water
- Income goal: $4,000 per month
- Health goal: Exercise everyday and eat more nutritional foods
- Finance goal: Pay off credit card and always have more than $20,000 in the bank
- Knowledge goal: Learn something new everyday about making money online
Big Daddy Goals
These are goals that require me to become a better person. They’re longer term goals but still very achievable. Beyond these goals I’ll have more but lets take it one step at a time.
- Income: $100,000+ per month (after taxes and expenses)
- Stocks: $1,000,000+ of mostly high dividend paying Australian stocks paying more than $50,000 per year.
- Real Estate: Own my own home worth more than $1,000,000.
- Car: Own a Lexus RCF V8 or a Mercedes AMG C63 S Coupe (take both for a test drive to see what feels the best)
- Real Estate Investments: Own more than $1,000,000 worth of rental properties with all debt paid off.
- Happiness: Live near water, have my own fruit and vegetable garden, paint everyday, learn more about sculpture, ceramics and etching.
- Health: Ideal weight, replace diet with high energy foods, exercise everyday, be very fit and have plenty of energy.
In conclusion, I’ll review and update these goals at the start of each month when I do my monthly income reports. Personally I’ll be reviewing and working towards them every single day. I have no other commitments apart from a small retail venture online, so I’ll be committed to the achievement of these goals full time and will be sharing the things I learn along the way.
