Since deciding to turn my life around financially (and every other way) I’ve spent plenty of time looking back on how I screwed up a business that was making me more than $15,000 every month with very little work. I could say it was others that destroyed my business but the truth is that it was me! I stopped learning (the right things) and I stopped growing.
In 5 years I barely bought a book and if it I did it was the wrong book. Coincidentally that five years of no good books included a continual downward spiral of my finances, an increase in weight and health problems, a lack of energy, plenty of conflict, and very little happiness. Previously I always had at least several books on the go and I was constantly improving my business and my self. The connection between constant learning and success has become very clear to me recently when I finally decided to say enough to poverty.
So I’m happily back on the book reading train and I’m staying on it indefinitely! I used to buy books through Amazon as Australian booksellers had such high prices but international postage would always be a killer. So I was super-excited to discover the Book Depository store based in the United Kingdom. They have better prices than Australian book sellers, they have more than 9 million book titles and they have FREE worldwide shipping! How cool is that?! Here, try searching for a book yourself.. and remember, free postage to your country, anywhere in the world!

My first lot of books I ordered through the Book Depository all arrived safely in Australia within about a week. That’s as fast as any local bookshop has done for me and they’re a whole lot cheaper. I would rather support local businesses but I’m also not interested in throwing money away to support an inefficient retailer. If I can get better service, much better prices, and a better selection from the Book Depository in the UK then that’s what I’ll do.
So I’ll be doing the occasional book review when I start to finish reading some of the new books that I ordered. I’m not a fast reader though so don’t expect them to come out too frequently. I’m definitely not a book a day guy like Tai Lopez. I like to read and think, read and think. Speed reading doesn’t appeal to me at all as I ask too many questions of a book. I can read two or three books per month usually. I’ll probably be reading more now though as I start each day reading and finish each day reading.
Get back on your book reading train and check out the Book Depository.
And remember, free worldwide shipping!!
